My puppy (French Bulldog) not eating when I feed him. Manipulating me?

My puppy, a 4 month old French Bulldog, doesn't want to eat when I feed him, or eats just a little. But whenever any other person feeds him (even if he has never seen them in his life), he'll eat everything, no matter how much. It's also not about the dogfood because when anyone else gives it to him, he'll eat it without hesitation.
He is clearly manipulating me as I am most of the time with him. About 1 month ago he got a really bad stomach problem but now he's OK. I just went to the vet a couple of days ago to check up on him. What should I do in order for him to eat when I'm the one that gives him the food?
Oh yeah, I've never given him human food or anything else besides dog food.
By the way, I feed him 3 times a day, as he is still a puppy.

Dogs most definitely know how to manipulate. They will bark, whine or refuse to walk or even have a temper tantrum on the end of the leash to get their way.

Don't ever give in. Feed him once a day in the evening after you (his pack leader) eats. if he's not hungry enough to eat all his food, he will be the next night. No feeding in between, and no snacks. Dinner only, and the problem will be gone in a day or two.

dogs don't understand manipulation. That is a human concept. Maybe he eats bc he is nervous around them? If he isn't losing weight, I wouldn't worry about it.

you should try feeding him then walking away. Maybe he just doesn't like it when you watch him eat.

Try giving him a time limit. Place the food in front of him for 30 minutes and walking away. Whatever he doesn't eat, take it away from him and try it again the next day. Also make sure the food is fresh, dogs do not like stall dog food or food that has been left out in the open.

Gotta love the Frenchies! Who says dogs aren't smart.

I've got a new one that does about the same thing. Turns her nose up, then eats when she's sure I'm not looking.

It's a battle of wills. If you leave food down, then leave it, and ignore the dog. He will eventually eat. If you feed and pick the dish up, pick it up. One missed meal won't hurt, and you can add a bit extra for the next feeding.

Frenchies rule and are way Cool
